Context
This forest is located in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department (France). In 1999, two violent cyclones ravaged the French forests, including a significant part of this massif. Its effects are still visible on the stand, which is now also a victim of global warming. In order to secure its future, reforesting the plot is a priority.
18,465 trees of deciduous and resinous species are planted on the massif in order to strengthen the forest. Soon, this diversified forest will boost biodiversity and provide multiple habitats for the local fauna. In addition, this restored stand will contribute to the local production of timber. Finally, the planted trees will store carbon, thus contributing to the fight against global warming.
