From our founding, we’ve strived to build a more sustainable future by continuously adapting our operations and products to be as efficient and green as possible. For example, since 2010 we’ve cut our water consumption by 68%, our greenhouse gas emissions by 44% and improved energy efficiency by 36%. Starting2021, we’d like customers to join our sustainability journey. We’re planting 38,000 trees – 1 for each case of our newly launched MEK-Free inks bought. These inks cut volatile organic compound emissions by up to 50%.

Markem-Imaje is one of the world’s largest coding suppliers. We sell equipment, consumables and software that help companies add codes, like expiry dates and batch codes, to their products. These codes enable safe usage by end users and traceability for manufacturers. Sustainability is an intrinsic part of our DNA, pushing us to meet environmental, social and ethical standards wherever we can. For example, we ban ourselves from using legally permitted substances which run counter our commitment.
