With Reforest'Action, participate in the reforestation of this forest in Vendée !

The project at a glance

The origin of the project :

In the Pays de la Loire, this plot of land in the Vendée region, which is mainly populated by willows and a few oaks, is being reforested. In order to revitalise this area that no longer shows any sign of natural regeneration, the plot is planted with 9,000 trees of 10 predominantly deciduous species.

Besides increasing the resilience of the stand to possible natural hazards or insect attacks, this approach will produce wood, a sustainable and quality resource. As each species has its own biodiversity, the project will create a heterogeneous landscape in this sparsely wooded region. Finally, the future forest will contribute to the fight against global warming thanks to the carbon stored by the trees.
