Peru: 6000 new trees distributed in September

Last month 6000 baby trees left Peruvian nurseries so as to be distributed to Yaku Sisa native community members. After many months of cultivation, the saplings were carefully put on trucks so as to join their future soil.

Destination: district of Zapatero located in the north of San Martin region. Those trees were very expected by local communities who have planted them in the next following days.

While these 6000 Maya Nut trees have now rooted, 68.000 other young saplings are managed in the nurseries of Yaku Sisa and San Juan de Miraflores native communities. They will be planted on the field in the next few months thanks to Paul Mitchell financial support.
